The challenge:
- To understand how much time and therefore money was being spent undertaking specific policing activity types
- To gain insight on how and where money was being spent
Our solution:
- iR3 combined data from Command and Control, duty management shift patterns and activity codes
- iR3 included community policing and overtime in order to carry out data analysis and report on what policing activity was conducted over a measured period of time
The outcome:
- Analysis and reporting of officer activity time and activities by category including policing duties for day-to-day business
- Reports were also delivered for unusual activity not expected as part of day-to-day security related demand
- Better information on current level and focus of officer activity. This proved essential when assigning resources to strategic and tactical initiatives
